CSIR UGC NET 2024 December Registration Begins, Apply By December 30

CSIR UGC NET 2024 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the registration process for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) 2024. Eligible candidates can register online at csirnet.nta.ac.in or nta.ac.in. The last date to submit the application form is December 30.

Before applying for the CSIR-UGC NET Examination in December 2024, candidates are advised to thoroughly review the eligibility criteria listed in the Information Bulletin available on the official website. The exam fee must be paid online through available payment options such as debit/credit cards, internet banking, or UPI. The CSIR-UGC NET exam is scheduled to take place between February 16, 2025, and February 28, 2025, with a total duration of 180 minutes (three hours).

As per the official notice, “The Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December-2024, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges through Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.” Candidates are urged to submit their applications just once. They are not authorised to submit more than one application form, as mentioned in the official notification. Strict actions can be taken if they are found violating rules.

CSIR-UGC NET 2024: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official CSIR NET website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button.

Step 3: Download the CSIR NET information pamphlet and read the instructions carefully.

Step 4: Check the box at the bottom of the page, and the CSIR NET Registration Form will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Complete the form and submit it to confirm your registration.

The exam fee for those belonging to the general category is Rs 1150, for general- EWS, OBC NCL, it is Rs 600 and for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, or are third gender, the fee is Rs 325.

The exam covers five subjects including Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (including Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences), Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
