CSIR UGC NET 2024 December Deadline Extended To January 2
UGC NET 2024 : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2024 for the December session exam. Candidates can now fill out the CSIR UGC NET December 2024 application form through the official website – csirnet.nta.ac.in till January 2, 2025.
Earlier, the last date to apply for the CSIR UGC NET December 2024 was December 30 and to make payment was December 31, 2024. Candidates were allowed to make changes in their CSIR UGC NET 2024 application forms on January 1 and January 2, 2025. However, after receiving representations from various candidates, the NTA decided to extend the deadline.
“The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to extend the last date of submission of online application form for Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024,” reads the official notification.
The NTA also has extended the deadline for payment and modifications to the CSIR UGC NET December 2024 application form. According to the updated schedule, candidates can pay the application fee until January 3, and make corrections to their application details on January 4 and 5, 2025. The CSIR UGC NET exam is set to take place from February 16 to 28, 2025.
The exam fee for those belonging to the general category is Rs 1150, for general- EWS, OBC NCL, it is Rs 600 and for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD, or are third gender, the fee is Rs 325.
Step 1: Visit the official CSIR NET website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘New Registration’ button.
Step 3: Download the CSIR NET information pamphlet and read the instructions carefully.
Step 4: Check the box at the bottom of the page, and the CSIR NET Registration Form will appear on the screen.
Step 5: Complete the form and submit it to confirm your registration.
