CSIR-IICT conducts training programme for 60 teachers
CSIR-IICT : The CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) organised a specialised teacher training programme for more than 60 educators at Hyderabad. The programme was based on the theme ‘Enhancing scientific temperament through technological interventions’. This event was Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform’s (KAMP) fourth continuous professional development programme tailored for educators in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Taking part teachers participated in thorough instructional meetings directed by well-informed authorities, covering different elements of science training. Aravind Chinchure, chair professor of innovation and entrepreneurship at the Symbiosis International University, Pune, Somdatta Karak, Jageedesh N, principal scientist at the CSIR-IICT, S Sridhar, chief scientist at the CSIR-IICT, and J Vatsalarani were among the scientists and researchers with whom the teachers interacted.
In addition, the educators went to a lab on the premises of the CSIR-IICT, where they gained practical knowledge of anaerobic gas lift reactor technology, water purification technology, and pheromone technology.
Towards the finish of the meeting, Aniket Arora (outreach facilitator, KAMP) accentuated on the significance of such occasions and how KAMP accepts that such experiential learning is the way to cultivating teachers and understudies’ profound interest in and comprehension of science and different advancements in India.
Furthermore, he informed the teachers about the impending exercises like the web-based Information Sharing Meetings, Logical Outings for understudies as well as Nonstop Expert Improvement for teachers to investigate, find, and draw in with different logical disciplines in a certifiable setting at different prominent CSIR labs/Exploration Associations in India.
