India’s boxing contingent delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Asian U19 & U22 Boxing Championships held in Bangkok, securing a total of 27 medals across both age groups. The U19 team emerged as the most successful, amassing 14 medals: 3 golds, 7 silvers, and 4 bronzes. Despite leading in total medals, they finished second overall due to Uzbekistan’s higher gold count. Notable gold medalists included Nisha (women’s 54kg), Muskan (women’s 57kg), and Rahul (men’s 75kg).
The U22 team concluded their campaign with 13 medals: 1 gold, 4 silvers, and 8 bronzes. Ritika clinched the sole gold for India in the women’s 80+kg category, defeating Kazakhstan’s Assel Toktassyn. Other silver medalists were Yatri Patel (women’s 57kg), Priya (women’s 60kg), Neeraj (men’s 75kg), and Ishan Kataria (men’s 90+kg).
