Chhattisgarh CM Baghel made a significant announcement on Thursday in advance of the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections that are scheduled for the end of the year. He said that from the next fiscal year, youth who are unemployed will receive a monthly allowance in the state.
It was one of the most important promises made by the Congress in advance of the Assembly elections in 2018, which saw the party return to power in the state after a 15-year absence. After raising the national flag at the Lalbag Parade grounds in Jagdalpur, the Bastar district’s headquarters, on Republic Day on Thursday, Baghel addressed the crowd and announced the state’s development of a rural industry policy to support the cottage industry-based rural economy.
In addition, the CM stated that factories in industrial areas created by the Industries Department will not be subject to property taxes. In addition, presumably with an eye toward the Assembly elections, he made a number of other announcements, including the establishment of an aerocity near Raipur Airport, a housing assistance program for laborers, and a program to encourage women to start their own businesses.
