CBSE : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a final reminder to all affiliated schools to upload the mandatory documents and staff details on their respective websites. The reminder follows earlier circulars that directed the schools to publish essential information related to staff qualifications and other prescribed documents as part of the Mandatory Public Disclosure.
In the official circular, the board stated that despite multiple reminders, several schools still do not have functional websites. Some schools that have websites have either failed to upload the required documents or have partially uploaded them. In some cases, the uploaded links are inactive, and in others, the documents are not prominently displayed on the main homepage.
The CBSE has now set a 30-day deadline for all schools to upload the prescribed information and documents following the specified format. The board stated in the official notice that schools failing to comply within this period will face necessary action, including penalties, as per Chapter 12 and Chapter 13 of the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018.
“The Board is giving one final opportunity to all affiliated schools who have not yet complied with the above instructions, with a direction to carefully go through both the circulars cited above and upload all prescribed information and documents in an unambiguous and absolute manner within 30 days of the issue of this Circular, failing which the Board shall be constraint to initiate necessary-proceedings and imposing penalty against the erring schools,” reads the official notice.
CBSE has advised the Schools that have already uploaded the required information to revisit their websites and ensure that all documents are correctly uploaded and accessible.
