CBSE Begins Application Process Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Scheme

CBSE : In an official notification, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited online applications for the single girl child merit scholarship scheme. This particular scheme aims to provide scholarships to deserving female students who are the only children of their parents. Students seeking this scholarship can submit their applications via CBSE’s official website at cbse.gov.in.

After being shortlisted for the scholarship, selected students will receive an amount of Rs 500 per month. The following are two Merit Scholarship Schemes that students can apply for:

— Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2024 Scheme

— Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023 (Renewal 2024) Scheme

CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Scheme: Eligibility Criteria

– To be eligible for the scholarship scheme, all single girl students must have 70 per cent or more marks in the CBSE Class 10 Examination. They should be studying Class 11 and 12 in CBSE-affiliated schools with tuition fees not exceeding Rs 2,500 per month.

– The board also allows NRI applicants to avail of this scholarship scheme. The tuition fee cap for NRIs has been set at a maximum of Rs 6,000 per month.

– Students whose families have a gross income of up to Rs 8 lakh per annum can apply for the scholarship.

Here’s how you can apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship online –

Step 1: The first step requires you to visit CBSE’s official website www.cbse.nic.in.

Step 2: Now you need to search for the ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2024 REG’ link and click on it.

Step 3: The next step requires you to click on the designated scholarship application link.

Step 4: A new tab should open up on your computer screen where you will be asked to select the type of application – fresh or renewal.

Step 5: After selecting your option, you will have to fill out the application form.

Step 6: Upload all the required documents before submitting the Single Girl Child Scholarship application.

Step 7: Ensure you download a printout of the form on your computer as a PDF file.

Step 8: Taking out a printout of the document will help with future reference.
