BSEB to Begin Online Admission: Starting on May 17, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will initiate the registration process for Class 11 admissions through the online facilitation system for students (OFSS).

According to board officials, the application forms have been uploaded onto an online admission portal as of Wednesday. Students who have successfully cleared the matriculation examination can proceed with applying for admission to Class 11. They are required to register themselves on the website www.ofssbihar.in and fill out the online form between May 17 and May 26.

According to the board, admissions will be conducted in a total of 10,268 senior secondary schools and colleges. Students will have the opportunity to access important information about these educational institutions, such as their locations, the availability of seats according to different streams, and the type of college, directly on the admission portal.

A senior official from the BSEB stated, “Admissions for Class 11 will be available for a total of 22.97 lakh seats throughout the state. The Art stream has approximately 10 lakh seats, followed by the Science stream with 9.8 lakh seats, and the Commerce stream with 2.28 lakh seats. As part of the application process, candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹350. Additionally, candidates have the option to select a maximum of 20 schools or colleges as their preferred institutions.”

“The applicants are strongly advised to review the common prospectus before proceeding with the registration process. This will help address any queries they may have regarding the school or college allotment system, as well as the documents required for filling out the application form,” added the official. Furthermore, candidates who do not have access to the internet can opt to apply for registration at the designated Vasudha Centres located across the state.”

According to BSEB chairman Anand Kishor, “Candidates who have successfully cleared the matriculation examination from the Bihar Board, CBSE, ICSE, or any other national/state boards are eligible to apply for online admission in Class 11. The board will generate a merit list based on the marks obtained by the applicants, taking into consideration the reservation category.”
