BPSC TRE Exam Delayed As Education Dept Asks For Vacancy Data From Districts

BPSC : The recruitment process for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions under the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Exam 3 (TRE 3) has encountered a new hurdle. The Bihar Education Department, in its ongoing effort to ensure a fair recruitment process, has once again sought revised vacancy data from each district. This step became necessary when the General Administration Department (GAD) declined to accept the previously submitted vacancies due to errors in the reservation roster.

The GAD found that the initial roster was not in compliance with the reservation guidelines, leading to a rejection of the proposed vacancies. Consequently, the Director of Secondary Education has issued a directive to all District Education Officers (DEOs) across Bihar, requiring them to correct and submit the vacancy data within 24 hours. The revised data must accurately reflect the reservation requirements to move the recruitment process forward.

After the DEOs submit the updated information, the GAD will thoroughly review the reservation roster again, ensuring that it meets all guidelines and avoids potential setbacks in the recruitment. Only after this re-evaluation will the GAD forward the validated vacancy data to the BPSC. This step is critical to ensuring that the recruitment complies with legal standards, especially concerning reservation quotas, as any oversight could lead to issues later in the hiring process.

While this new review step may cause further delays in the recruitment timeline, the Education Department is committed to completing each formality in an organised and careful manner. Once the reservation roster is finalised and approved, the BPSC will proceed to release the results for the Teacher Recruitment Exam 3. The department has emphasised its focus on conducting a transparent and legally compliant hiring process, which, although time-consuming, is intended to prevent any legal complications or discrepancies in the future.
