Bihar Police : The physical test and document verification of the candidates who have passed the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Exam will start on December 9. The Central Selection Board (CSBC) has given relief to the candidates of constable recruitment from the cut-off date of EWS and OBC-NCL.

“All the candidates are hereby informed that in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification to be conducted from 09.12.2024, the candidates of the said reservation category will not be declared ineligible/unsuccessful on the basis of the validity period or issue date of the said certificates. A decision on this will be taken in the light of the instructions received from the department,” the board said in an official notice.

A total of 11,94,590 candidates appeared for the exam, of which 106,955 have been selected. These selected candidates will now have to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and document verification.

Candidates must bring a photocopy of the acknowledgment of their online application form along with the required certificates, including:

Through this recruitment drive, the Board aims to fill 21,391 Constable positions.

The Central Selection Board was demanding OBC-NCL and EWS certificates for 2022 and 2023 from the candidates. Candidates have been protesting against the same for the last eight days.

The Bihar Police Constable 2024 recruitment exam was held in pen-and-paper mode on August 7, 11, 18, 21, 25, and 28, 2024, across 38 districts in the state. The exams took place in a single shift from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Both a physical eligibility test (PET) and a qualifying written test will be part of the selection process. To pass the written exam, candidates must get at least 30 marks. The candidate’s performance in the PET will determine the ultimate choice, however, to be eligible for the Physical Test, a candidate must pass the written exam.
