Bihar Local Body Teachers’ Competency Exam 2024 registration starts on February 1

Bihar : The Bihar Public Service Commission will start the registration process for the Bihar Local Body Teachers’ Competency Exam 2024 on the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in, from February 1. Teachers employed by various local bodies of the state will be able to fill the application fee till February 15.

Rule 4 of the Bihar School Special Teacher Rules, 2023 governs the Bihar Local Body Teachers’ Competency Exam 2024. Teachers appointed by various local bodies of the state are required to pass the competency test, according to the rule. The term “special teachers” will be used to describe those who pass the exam. They will have a single cadre at the district level from the date they join the assigned school if they pass the competency test.

The exam is open to working teachers, including physical teachers and librarians, who are employed by local bodies as primary, middle, secondary, or higher secondary teachers. The examination fee for the candidates will be Rs 1,100.

Candidates must complete the computer-based Bihar Local Body Teachers’ Competency Exam 2024 in two hours and thirty minutes. To pass the exam, candidates from unreserved categories must score 40 percent. To pass the exam, candidates from the BC and EBC categories must score 36.5% and 34%, respectively. Female candidates and applicants from the SC, ST, and PwD categories must score 32%.

Candidates will be required to select from three districts for school allotment options in the notification. Following the accommodation of the application structure, the Locale Program Official (Foundation) of the concerned area will audit the structure.
