Bihar CHO 2024 Exam Cancelled Amid Irregularities; 12 Centers Raided

Bihar CHO 2024 : Bihar State Health Society (SHS) has cancelled the Bihar Community Health Officer (CHO) Exam 2024. The examination, which was scheduled to be conducted on December 1 and 2, 2024, has been cancelled amid the question paper leak allegations. The SHS will release the new schedule for the examination in due course.

“Under Advertisement No. 07/2024 of the State Health Society, Bihar, the online Computer Based Test (CBT) scheduled for 01.12.2024 and 02.12.2024 for the selection/appointment of contractual Community Health Officer (CHO) positions is hereby cancelled. Information regarding the new date for the examination will be published,” stated the official

According to the PTI report, the Patna police conducted raids at 12 examination centres where the online tests were set to be held. During these operations, evidence of irregularities was uncovered, resulting in the arrest of more than a dozen individuals. Several centres were sealed for further investigation.

“The examination was conducted at 12 online centres in Patna on Sunday. Police also arrested 37 people, including aspirants, owners and employees of the examination centres and IT managers, in connection with the case, Deputy Inspector General (EOU) Manavjit Singh Dhillon told reporters,” reported PTI.

“Officials found that employees of the examination centres provided unauthorised access to the computer system to a solver gang through proxy server and remote viewing applications. Evidence collected from the spot revealed that the accused were solving the questions papers through online Computer Based Test (CBT) on a real-time basis,” the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) stated.

The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 4,500 positions including 979 for the Unreserved categories, 245 for the Economically Weaker Section, 1,243 for Scheduled Caste, 55 for Scheduled Tribes, 1,170 for Extremely Backward Class, 640 for Backward Class and 168 for Women of Backward Class.
