Bennett University hosts G20-themed workshop on sustainable development goals

Bennett University: Bennett University organised a one-day workshop titled “Challenges Towards Attaining Sustainable Development Goals – An Indian Perspective”. The event had lectures from the guests and experts on various topics related to sustainable development goals (SDGs) and India’s role in achieving them.

Rajya Sabha MP Sasmit Patra and director of the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi (Deemed University), Manoj Kumar Sinha, attended the workshop; Principal of the Shri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi, Simrit Kaur; and K K Aggarwal, the founding vice chancellor of GGSIP University in Delhi and former chairman of the National Board of Accreditation in Delhi.

The studio gave a stage to conversations, trade of thoughts, and cooperation on answers for address worldwide difficulties as indicated by the college. The event’s primary objective was to place an emphasis on sustainable development.

Sasmit Patra provided an overview of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the significance of global partnerships (SDG 17) and the significance of fostering peaceful societies and building effective institutions (SDG 16). He stated that India will follow two implementation models for the SDGs: the Human Rights Model and the Economic Model. The models, according to the MP, are in line with the Indian Constitution’s principles, which address economic challenges and the human rights of marginalized groups.
