The date of the state’s Engineering Common Entrance Test AP ECET 2023 exam has been postponed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The AP ECET 2023 will presently be hung on June 20. AP ECET was booked to be led on May 5.

The following statement was made on the official website, cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, announcing the postponement: The AP ECET-2023 Assessment is deferred from 05.05.2023(Friday) to 20.06.2023 (Tuesday).”

Admission to first-year undergraduate BTech and BPharm programs is based on AP ECET scores. The online AP ECET 2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT). The AP ECET is administered by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. The preliminary answer key for the AP ECET 2023 exam will be made available to candidates on June 23. Candidates will also have until June 25 to object to the preliminary answer key. The four subjects (three for the BSc mathematics) require a minimum of 25 percent of the total marks, or 50 out of a total of 200, to qualify for a rank on the AP ECET 2023.

However, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates when ranking them. The AP ECET 2023 announcement stated that any candidate claiming to be from the SC or ST category will lose their rank at the APECET [FDH and BSc (with mathematics as one of the optional subjects)] 2023 in the event that the claim is found to be invalid at the time of admission.
