AIIMS NORCET-8 Exam: 1,794 Nursing Officer Vacancies Announced

NORCET : The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi has announced 1,794 nursing officer vacancies through the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8 for the year 2025. The registration for AIIMS NORCET-8 has already started and will continue until March 17.

Among the total vacancies, AIIMS Patna has the highest number with 308 posts. It is also the only institute with 29 seats for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) — 24 for women and 5 for men.

Other major vacancies include 300 posts at the Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS), Maidangarhi and 202 posts at AIIMS New Delhi.

Who Can Apply?

• Candidates with BSc (Hons) Nursing, BSc Nursing, Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an institute recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or any state nursing council.
• Those with BSc Post-Certificate or Post-Basic BSc Nursing are also eligible.
• Applicants must be registered as a nurse and midwife with the INC or any state nursing council.

A total of 23 institutes will hire nursing officers based on the NORCET-8 score.

AIIMS NORCET 2025: Application Fee

General/OBC Category: Rs 3,000

SC/ST/EWS Category: Rs 2,400

Persons with Disabilities: Exempted

Candidates can pay the application fee online through debit card, credit card, or net banking. Any additional transaction fees will be borne by the candidate. SC/ST candidates who appear for the exam will be eligible for a refund of the application fee after the results are declared, subject to verification of their SC/ST certificate.

Follow these steps to complete your application:

• Visit the official website at aiimsexams.ac.in.
• On the homepage, click on the “Recruitment” tab and select “Nursing Officer”.
• Click on the link titled “Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET)-8″.
• Select the login option and create a new account.
• After creating your account, log in and fill out the application form.
• Upload all the required documents and pay the application fee.
• Submit your application and download the confirmation page for future reference.
