AICTE Academic Calendar 2023-24: According to the academic calendar for 2023-24 released by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the commencement of classes for first-year students in institutes approved by the council is mandatory by September 15.
As per the AICTE, September 15 serves as the deadline for admission of first-year students and lateral entry to second-year courses in Engineering and Technology.
September 11 is the last day for canceling seats in technical courses and receiving a full refund of the fee.
June 10 is the final day for approving or rejecting applications, while the deadline for granting approval after an appeal is June 30. Affiliation by the university/board must be granted by July 31, 2023.
This rule applies to all institutes, with the exception of standalone PGDM/PGCM institutions.

AICTE has stated that institutes that offer open/ODL courses will follow the calendar for various activities as per UGC’s guidelines.
